Čačak

Mila Dragićević

This plantation was established in autumn 2016 on a two-hectare plot. Blueberry variety Duke was planted on banks with 3 meters of distance between the rows and one meter between the plants. Cores made from 1.5 liters of substrate were formed in the banks. After hail damaged the fruits and plants in the orchard’s first year, anti-hail nets were installed, which also provided protection from extensive exposure to the sun.

The plot’s altitude of 200 meters above sea level grants a harvesting period from 1st to 15th June until 5th July, and appropriate care from the growers enables a yield of around 2 kg per plant in the fourth year.
